De Essen Motor Show beleeft alweer haar 46e editie op 30 november van dit jaar. De focus van dit jaar volgens Frank Thorwith, de CEO van Messe Essen:
“Our concept of putting automobile sportiness and individuality as well as motorsport in the spotlight to a greater extent once again has come off. Our activities towards sport have given the fair real impetus.” The lavish designing of the fair booths by the over 500 exhibitors is illustrating the strong rise in the status of the fair for the sector, according to Egon Galinnis, Managing Director of Messe Essen: “This year, the Essen Motor Show is presenting itself more exclusive and in a higher quality than ever.”

Up to and including December 9, there will be a full programme in Essen. The tyres will emit black smoke in exciting drift competitions in the Motorsport Arena. In the Classic Cars section, milestones of the development of the “Nine-Eleven” will form the parade called “50 Years of the Porsche 911”. In the Ebay Motors tuningXperience, 80 vehicles which have benefited from high-class private tuning will sparkle in competition with each other. Hot rods and car curiosities will invite the visitors to be amazed and to smile and design studies will permit a look into the future of cars. Not only motorbike fans will be wide-eyed in the Speedbike Show.
